Ethel Brockwell Blankenship, 91 of Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 1,2017, at Waverly Rehabilitation Center from an extended illness. Born in Prince George, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Junius and Maude Avery. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie F. Brockwell and Leslie L. Blankenship, sister, Francis Fry, great-grandchild, Dylan Brockwell. She was retired from John Randoph Medical Center and a faithful member of Sycamore United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by four sons, Franklin Brockwell and wife, Odelia, Roane Brockwell and wife, Betty, Tommy Brockwell and wife, Dorothy, Russell Brockwell and wife, Judy all of Prince George and one daughter, Debbie Jones and husband, Eddie of Enon. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her sisters, Mary Elder and Dorothy Hussey and numerous nieces and nephews and her very special friend, Hartley Gross.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm. also at the chapel. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
