James Wilfred Jones

James Wilfred Jones, 65, of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013. A native of Waverly, he was the son of the late Wilfred Conway and Rebecca Chesson Jones. After graduating from Randolph Macon College, James worked as a chemist for Phillip Morris and served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve. Most recently, he was a devoted caregiver to his parents during the last years of their lives. He is survived by his sister, Judy Jones Schultz, of Waverly and his brother, Jerry Jones, of Portsmouth. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4th at Waverly Cemetery.
