Angela Dina Straccioni Perrin, 88, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Dino and Catherine Straccioni; and her loving husband of 67 years, Cecil E. Perrin.
She was survived by her daughter, Toni Perrin Lunsford; son-in-law, Cary B. Lunsford; grandchildren, Dino and Dina Lunsford; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tucker. She also is survived by her twin sister, Mary S. Esposito; and her sisters, Hilda R. Straccioni and Michelle Straccioni; her nephew, Mark Esposito and wife, Suzanne; and great-nephews, Mark and David; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Angela will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was very active in St. James Church in her early years. She played the organ for the church and also taught music at the school. Angela, as well as her sisters, all attended St. James School and later attended Hopewell High. Angela and her twin, Mary, were the first set of twin head cheerleaders, and both on the national honor society. She later attended business college to pursue her accounting education.
Angela worked most of her life as her family had many businesses. Virginia Meat Market, Lakewood Supper Club, and then TMP Construction in which she was a bookkeeper for 47 years.
Many referred to Angela as a Saint because of her loving and giving nature. She never met a stranger and was kind to everyone who knew her. She always took care of everyone else in her family. She was a wonderful cook, being Italian, she had many recipes which were passed down from generation to generation.
She always said that she knew she would marry Cecil, from the first time they met which was at the Lakewood Supper Club, when he was in the military at Fort Lee. She was never quite the same after his passing because of their love for one another.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her devoted family and friends who loved her more than life. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway Avenue.
