Betty Sue Snyder

Betty Sue Snyder, 66, of Prince George, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 4, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman V. and Ora Thornton of Covel, WV; one brother, Nathan Thornton; and a sister, Norma Jean Gilbert. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Delbert Snyder; son, Del Snyder, II and wife, Stacie; daughter Becky Jessup and husband, Butch; sister Judy Webb and husband, Charles; brothers, Lindo Thornton, Freeman Thornton and wife, Shirley and George Thornton. She leaves behind her four grandchildren, Aubrey, Kaitlynn, Ethan and Ilyssa. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty Sue Snyder to the Prince George Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
