Brenda Himes Perkins

Brenda Himes Perkins, 68, of Chesterfield, returned home to her Savior’s arms on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy Himes. Brenda was employed with Philip Morris retiring after 30 years of service. She was a faithful member of Bellwood Baptist Church and was active with the Women on Missions group. She is survived by her loving husband, Claude Perkins; daughter, Katherine Lori Lawson and her husband, Dennis; sister, Laura Herring and her husband, Larry; brother, Bill Himes and his wife, Elizabeth; three nephews, Duane Herring, Russell Himes and his wife, Melanie, and Matthew Himes; two nieces, Marie Crandall and her husband, Kristopher, and Christine Clay and her husband, Nick; sister-in-law, Mary Clay and her husband, Neal; and cousin, Phyllis Fultz; The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Centralia Cemetery, Chester, VA.
