MSgt (RET) Charles Everette Taylor, 82, of Disputanta, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Taylor and Bessie Farley Taylor; sisters, Beulah Cisco and Lorrain Compton; and brothers, Cecil Taylor and Wayne “Junior” Taylor. Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for over 25 years serving in Korea and Vietnam, receiving the Bronze Star for his actions. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Leo University in FL in 1978. Charles was a Mason and a member of the American Legion. He was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hopewell. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia Adams Taylor; son, Jeff Taylor (Gayle); son, Eugene Taylor; daughter, Jeannette Taylor (Arlen); grandchildren, Kyle Taylor, Meredith Hodges (John), Katie Pichowsky (Phillip), Gabriel Taylor, Sam Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Angie Charvat (Jeremy), and Johnathan Ross; great grandchildren, Rosie Charvat and Aleigha Ross; sister, Brenda Hinkle (Dwight); sister, Beverly Bryant (McGee); as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.. Condolences may be registered at
