Edna Marshall Ellison

Edna Marshall Ellison, 100, of Sutherland VA, died on November 15, 2023. Born in Fannin County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee Marshall and Nora Susie Marshall. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of the family and always put others first. She enjoyed crafting, drawing, and her cut-outs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, John H. McNeer; her second husband, John W. Ellison; her brothers, Pete, Jake, Charley, and Roy Marshall; her daughter, Virginia McFadden (Robert); and her grandson, Matthew Maile. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta Anderson (Butch), Madeline Maile (Tom), Susie Ellison, Rebecca Elliot, and Elizabeth McMeens; her grandchildren, John, Billy, Christy, Hope, Missy, Kelly, Scotty, Adam, TJ, Sara, Alex, Shawn, Brian, April, Meagan, Jaime, John, and Christa; her great-grandchildren, Molly, Tommy, Maura, Kyle, Amber, Abbey, Cierra, Joey, Robbie, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Sarah, Mason, Benjamin, Victoria, Alexys, Camryn, Gage, Autumn, Zuri, Matthew, Ethan, Kevin, Aidan, Madison, Max, Sophia, Gavin, Kayla, Dylan, Cadynce, Laken, Athena, Rylan, Vera, Liam; and her great-great-grandchildren, Jhase, Archur, and Vincent. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
