Harold L Crowder Sr.

Harold “Andy” Lee Crowder, Sr., 87, of Chester, VA passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Born in Dinwiddie, VA he was the son of the late William and Alice Crowder; and was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Annis Crowder; his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn Crowder; his twin brother, Amos Crowder; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Crowder. Mr. Crowder is survived by his three children, Harold L. Crowder, Jr., Valerie Brockwell and husband, Al, and Richard Crowder and wife, Diane; nine grandchildren, Andrew (Whitney), Nicole (Mike), Hillary (Ray), Travis (Elizabeth), Seth (Jessica), Colin (Kimberly), Shaun, Justin and Alex; thirteen great-grandchildren, Olivia, Finlee, Landon, Waverley, Jaxson, Marissa, Dune, Gemma, Colton, Hudson, McKenzie, Saylor and Baby Smith; sister-in-law, Budgie Crowder; and a daughter-in-law, Kim Crowder. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Chester United Methodist Church with Rev. Clara Gestwick, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA.
