Jeff Shifflett Jr.

Jeff Shifflett, Jr., 86, of Dinwiddie, VA passed away on July 22, 2014. Born in Anderson, SC he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy N. Shifflett; three sons, Daniel C., Stephen L., and Michael J. Shifflett; and a granddaughter, Danielle M. Shifflett. Mr. Shifflett retired from the United States Army as a SFC after 20 years of service. He has also retired from the Defense General Supply Center as the Chief of Security and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his seven children, Jeff B. Shifflett (Peggy), Kenneth G. Shifflett (Peggy), Kevin J. Shifflett (Monica), Catherine S. Fleming (Skeeter), Keith B. Shifflett (Margo), Stephanie S. Lamm (Bryan) and Debbie M. Seidel; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. An open visitation without the family present will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA with the Rev. Jonathan Dundalow, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Jeff Shifflett, Jr
