Jonathan (John) Michael Hankins, 37, suddenly left this Earth on June 8, 2021. He was born on August 11, 1983 and was a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County. He was a diehard football fan and never missed a Baltimore Ravens game. He was also a huge movie fanatic with a love of comedy. Everyone who knew him knew he was a kid at heart, and the light of his life were his kids and his mom and would never pass the opportunity to spend time with them. Jonathan was preceded in death by both his maternal grandmother, Ann Adams and paternal grandmother, Helen Chappell. He is survived by his parents, Wanda Hankins and Michael Hankins; half-sister, Ashley Daughtry (kids, Cameron and Savannah); son, Gunnar Olgers; daughter, Amelia Hankins and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Jonathan will forever be missed and always remain in our hearts. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
