Michael Henry Moody

Michael Henry Moody, 71 of Disputanta, VA passed away, Sunday, April 9, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Marvin Moody, Jr. and Annie Mae Moody; and father in law, Russell E. Clements. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Clements Moody; his sons, Michael Vaughan Moody (Angela), Russell “Rusty” James Moody (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Amber Moody Jacob (Jeremy), Michael Blake Moody (Samantha), Taylor Grace Moody, Kaylee Rae Moody, Russell Trent Moody; brother, Jerry Marvin Moody (Carol); mother in law, Vera Downing Clements; niece, Christy Damrath (Ed); great nephew, Evan Wesley Moody; and numerous extended family and friends. He retired from Hercules Inc. as a Machinist with over 29 years of service. Mike was owner and operator of Moody’s Machine Shop & Certified Welding since 1972. Mr. Moody was a lifetime member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mike served in several capacities to include; working with the youth, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Project Manager of the new Abundant Life Church on Middle Road. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. Mike’s greatest passion was his family, and he loved each one of them unconditionally. The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church 6500 Middle Rd, Prince George, VA 23875. A funeral service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the church.
