Robert Lee Froehlich, 54 of Chester passed away on July 1, 2014, surrounded by his family. Known to most as Bobby, he was born on September 28, 1959 to Paulette and August Froehlich in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Bobby was the ultimate entertainer and loved to welcome guests to his home. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, his main priority to make sure everyone was happy. He was an avid sports fan and supported his hometown teams; The Pittsburg Stealers, Pirates, and Penguins. Bobby loved golf, music, and his three dogs Sierra, PugsLee, and Gigi. Bobby loved being a grandpa and bragged often on his grandsons’ talents and smarts. He taught them to swim and gave them advice about life and how to live it. Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Froehlich. He is also survived by his mother, Paulette Froehlich, his son Kevin Dale Ruiz (Tammy Forehand Ruiz), and his three grandsons, Tyler Ruiz, Nathan “Frogman” Ruiz, and Cameron Ruiz. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11 AM at First Christian Church, 203 North 11th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. All who loved Bobby are welcome to attend. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
