Teresa S. Hawkins

Teresa Schub Hawkins, 83, of Dinwiddie Co., VA passed away on June 7, 2015. Born in Newport, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Margaret McNamara Schub; and was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hawkins retired from Philip Morris after 18 years of service, and had previously worked for Allied Chemical and Seward Luggage. When not at work she worked alongside her husband, Jackie, helping to take care of the family farm. Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jackie Hawkins; two sons, Dale Hawkins and wife, Mary Ann, and Dickie Hawkins and wife, Vickie; two daughters, Brenda Burkholder and Vince, and Teresa Stillion and husband, John; eight grandchildren, Steven Carwile and wife, Dolly, Zach Carwile and husband, Justin, Courtney Haswell and husband, John, Matthew Hawkins and wife, Danielle, James Hawkins and wife, Megan, Patricia Ankiel and husband, Steve, Ellen Hodges and husband, Colton and Gerald Ott; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Flad; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Rd., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Hawkins Family Cemetery, 20002 Courthouse Rd., Dinwiddie, VA 23841. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Hawkins.
