Vivian Koontz Snyder

Vivian Koontz Snyder, 92, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at home with her family by her side. Born in Lexington, North Carolina on August 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude Sledge Koontz and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene T. Snyder. Mrs. Snyder is survived by her daughters, Norma Draper, Sylvia Woolwine; grandchildren, Susan Martin, Mark Lee, Sharon Ledford, Sherri Beregovoy, Barbara Honig; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Family Worship and Praise Center, 2608 West City Point Road, Hopewell Va. 23860. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, also at the Family Worship and Praise Center with Pastor David Hayes, officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
