Abner Daulton

Abner Joseph Daulton, 104, of Church Road, VA, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late Samuel Booker and Laura Davis Daulton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mabel Pruitte Daulton, and was the last survivor of many siblings. In earlier years, Mr. Daulton ran a dairy farm in Brandywine, MD, after which he returned to Church Road where he farmed until retirement. Mr. Daulton is survived by his daughters, Miriam D. Seay of Colonial Heights and Gloria D. Johnson of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Kimberly L. Mann and husband, Ronnie of Church Road and Jo Karen Price of Rocky Mount, NC; great-grandchildren, Dylan Price and Corey Mann; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 14, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
