A.C. Lowe

Arthur C. â??A.C.â? Lowe, Jr., 95, of Dendron, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Born on February 6, 1915 in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Arthur C. Lowe, Sr. and Bessie Bailey Lowe. He was the husband of the late Marguerite P. Lowe. He was a longtime member and loved his church, Dendron United Methodist Church. He drove the school bus for a short time and was a retired farmer. He will be remembered by his family as a special and unique man.
A.C. is survived by a sister, Marjorie Jarrett of Richmond; one brother, Winston Lowe of Dendron, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters, Edith Slatterbeck, Grace Pittman, Florence Jones, Eleanor Berryman, and Audrey Buhls; and one brother, David Lowe.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wakefield. Burial will follow in the Mill Swamp Cemetery in Ivor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8PM and at other times at the residences of Jane and Randy Jones at 13092 Jones Town Rd. in Ivor.
