Adam Lee Johnson

Adam Lee Johnson, 55, of Petersburg, passed away on October 30, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lois and Ben Nile; and a step-brother, Danny Crowder. Mr. Johnson was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was well known to many as “Big Adam”. He is survived by his father, Bob Johnson and wife, Dot; three sisters, April Clark and husband, John, Beverly Emory and Barbara Watson; a step-sister, Ann Marsee; one step-brother, Robbie Crowder and wife, Margaret; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Livesay, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to your local SPCA in Adam’s memory.
