Adam Maciejczyk, 20, from Chester, VA left this world on October 18, 2013 after a valiant battle to overcome the injuries from an auto accident on October 10, 2013. He was a blessing to his family and standing 6’8” tall, he was known as a gentle giant. Adam graduated from Matoaca High School in 2012 and went on to work for Skookum Contract Services at Fort Lee doing grounds and maintenance. He loved his job and his family, especially his sister, Erin. He will be sorely missed by his father, Joseph; his mother Nancy; his sister, Erin; and Eddie Fitzgerald. Adam loved history, gaming, especially World of Warcraft, and read everything he could on World War II, airplanes, and classic cars. Adam was on the Stoney Glen Swim Team, played Central Chesterfield Little League, basketball at the Chester YMCA, member of Troop 2815 and loved to hit golf balls after work. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
