Al Benton Mcclenny

Al Benton McClenny, 86, of Prince George, VA, passed away on April 9, 2023. He was born and raised in Suffolk, VA. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Karen McClenny; daughter, Linda Brinkley (Gary); son, Al McClenny, Jr.; son, Torsten Nonnemmacher (Claudia); son, Robert C. McClenny II (Tabitha); sister, Judy McClenny; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his late parents, Clayton McClenny and Ella Mae Turner; also his beloved wife of 23 years, Trudy McClenny.

He was a generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He served his country proudly for 31 years in the US Army and retired as an E-9 Sergeant Major. When he was still able, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson on trips with the American Legion Riders and taking weekend trips to the casinos to play the slots.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Bermuda Memorial Park.
