Alan August

Alan Laurence August, 67, of Chesterfield County died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home with his family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Mr. August served his community in many ways, some of which are: Past President of Brith Achim Synagogue, Past President of Swift Creek Mill Dinner Theater, West Richmond Rotary Club and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife, Betty Cohen August; son, Adam August and his wife, Brooke of Potomac, MD; daughter, Meredith Cheifetz and her husband, Stephen of Philadelphia, PA and grandchildren, Lauren, Ben, Jessica, Ava, Maya and Alex. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Brith Achim Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Brith Achim Synagogue.
