Alba Nydia Cruz

Alba Nydia Cruz, 77, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Alba was born in Juncos, Puerto Rico, and was raised in the Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of the late Luis Cruz and Gloria Ortiz. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Maria Cruz; and her nephew, Miguel Sabillon.

Alba was devoted to God and enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.

Alba is survived by her daughter, Candace Cruz-White; son-in-law, Charles Scott White; grandson, Charles Jamil White; granddaughter, Gabriella Nydia White; and sisters, Enid Cruz and Yvonne Cruz.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 PM, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son, 3050 W. Hundred Road, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
