Albert (Benny) Van Metre

Albert Benton (Benny) Van Metre, born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on November 27, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, November 21, 2011. Surviving are, his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Eidson Van Metre; four daughters: Karen Van Metre, Donna Van Metre, Kristie Seitz and husband Gary, and Mary Jo Tison and son-in-law Mark Tison; nine grandchildren: Brady and Brett Seitz; Cole, Cruz, Cade, Kendall, Kayah, Keira, and Kansas Tison; one godson, Ronnie Ogletree; one brother; Brian Van Metre, and two sisters, Lola Williar and husband Bob and Margaret Stocker. Services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011, 1:30 PM at Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg where he and wife attended. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Van Metre; his mother, Bertha Starliper; two sisters, June Russell and Mary Ann Walper. Flowers are welcome at J.T.
