Alex “Joe” Junior Taylor 73, of Hopewell died November 12, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mr. Taylor was retired from Allied Signal where he worked as a machine operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served honorably during the Korean War. He was the son of the late William and Nancy Taylor and was predeceased by two brothers, Gene Taylor and Houston Taylor and a sister Lucille Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy C. Taylor, three daughters, Teresa J. Berger, Brenda M. Smith and husband Jeffrey, Susan T. Bradshaw, a son Michael G. Taylor, all of Hopewell, three brothers, David, Garland, and Eltrue Taylor, four sisters, Ann Barker and husband Robert, Mary Surber and husband Ralph, Jeanie Hayden, Jeanette Surber, six grandchildren, Shawn Campbell of Richmond, Jeffrey Smith Jr., Jessica Smith, Johnathan Bradshaw, Christopher Bradshaw, Sarah Perkinson all of Hopewell, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday November 16, 2004, 7-8:30 PM at the Hopewell Chapel J.T. Morriss & Son, Inc. Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday November 17, 2004 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
