Alfred Brown

Alfred Edward Brown, 92, a longtime resident of Petersburg and widower of Sally Bowlin Brown, died Friday, September 15, 2006 at McGuire VA Medical Center. Born in Lundale, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Franklin Pierce and Lenna Cook Brown. Mr. Brown served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was a retired employee of E. I. Dupont Company. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Pastor Rodney Jenkins of Pine Grove Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
