Alfred Edwards

Alfred Grayson Edwards, 78, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005. Born in Richmond, he was the son of the late Joseph John and Sallie Tatum Edwards. He served in both the U. S. Navy and U. S. Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter, Linda O?Connor and husband, Mike of Chester; grandchildren, Christina O?Connor of Richmond, John O?Connor of Augusta, GA, and Allyshia Harr and husband, Joshua of Hopewell; great-grandchildren, Cara O?Connor and Adam Gabsi; step-brothers, Gene Tatum of Highland Springs and Earl Tatum of Maryland; long-time friend, Conie Edwards of Ettrick; aunt, Eula Wollett of Chesapeake, VA; special nieces, Christy Giron, Shannon Greene, and Stephanie Greene; and a multitude of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM tonight at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 24, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Riverview Cemetery, Richmond.
