Alfred Omigia Carter Jr. (nickname, Jr), 80, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was retired from Stone Container after fifty-one years with the company. Mr. Carter enjoyed watching baseball games, especially the Atlanta Braves; he also liked to spend time with his family, friends, and his cats. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred O. Carter Sr. and Margie Spain Carter; aunt, Myrtle Brockwell; and a sister-in-law, Marian Lynn. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Joan Carter; brothers-in-law, George Dooley, and Granville Milliner and his wife, Lane; sister-in-law, Rose Dooley; cousin, Brenda Wagner; numerous nieces and nephews, especially his great-nephew, Timothy Elmore Jr.; close friends, Melvin and Sarah; and other loving family, friends, and neighbors. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
