Alfred Shaffer

Alfred T. Shaffer 88, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday April 30, 2012. He was the son of the late George and Mamie Ruth Schley Shaffer. Alfred was a prankster who always loved jokes and playing pranks on everyone he knew. Whenever some one said goodbye to him he would answer â??Buy Bondsâ? He always treated life as an adventure. Alfred is survived by his brother; George W. Shaffer of Petersburg, nephews; Glen W. Atkins and wife Sheri of Petersburg, Donald W. Atkins and wife Amy of Midlothian and Jerry Procise of Chesterfield, great nephew; Warren E. Procise of Chesterfield, great nieces; Sherry L. Marshall and husband Heath, Kelly P. Medeiros and husband, Chuck, and devoted caretaking great niece Theresa L. Porter and husband Scott all of Matoaca, numerous other great- great nieces and nephews.
