Alice Clay Green 92 of Sutherland died, Friday, April 29, 2005. She was the daughter of the late James S. and Sadie Sutherland Clay and a native of Dinwiddie Co. She was the widow of William Fletcher Green. She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church, a member of Crater Chapter AARP and The Young at Heart. She is survived by her son, William P. Green of Sutherland; daughter, Margaret Green Driskill of Dewitt; six grandchildren, Linda Ashworth, Pam Comer, Jennifer Joyner, Vicki L. Bridgeman, Susan Parrish and William L. Driskill, Jr.; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary C. Graves of Richmond, and Inez C. Bennett of Church Road; three brothers, James W. Clay, Aubrey S. Clay and Clifton S. Clay all of Dewitt. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday May 2, 2005 in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 3-4:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 840 W.
