Alice Howell

Alice Winifred Howell, 94 of Petersburg died Saturday, October 23, 2004. Born in Church Road she was the daughter of the late J. Hutson and Anna Williams Howell. Ms. Howell was a retired Elementary School Teacher of forty years in the Chuckatuck and Petersburg school systems and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Petersburg. She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Howell Rose and is survived by her niece Susan Rose of Richmond; and cousins Virginia Howell Clarke of Church Road and McCoy Howell. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Tuesday, October 26th from 6 to 7:30 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 27th at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Marks UMC, 225 Claremont Street, Petersburg, VA 23805.
