Alice Harrison Perkins, of Hopewell died Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was born in Brandon, Virginia and had been a life long resident of Prince George County. She was predeceased by her parents, H. Lubbock and Betty Gray Harrison, her husband James Archer Perkins, her son, James Archer Perkins, Jr., her sister, Betty Harrison Thacker, two brothers, George Robert Harrison and Stanley Burt Harrison. Mrs. Perkins is survived by two sisters, Virginia Harrison Minchew of Augusta, GA and Dorothy Harrison Chapin, of Greenville, SC, many nieces and nephews to include a niece, Susan Thacker Eakin of Prince George, two nephews, James L. Thacker of Disputanta, John G. Thacker of Charlottesville, VA . Mrs. Perkins was a retired teacher from Bollingbrook Day School in Petersburg. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Brandon Episcopal Church Cemetery, Burrowsville, VA. with the Rev. Bill Taylor, Jr., Rector of St. Johnâ??s Episcopal Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Brandon Episcopal Church, 18705 James River Drive, Disputanta, Virginia 23842
