Mrs. Alice Marie Cordle Vance, 71, of Pasadena, MD, formerly of Prince George County, died Saturday, February 17, 2006. She was an Administrative Assistant with the Colonial Heights School System for 18 years and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Ada Cordell Cordle, her husband, Harold Buford Vance, Sr. and a daughter, Sharon Lynn Vance Rathmann. Surviving are two sons, Harold B. Vance, Jr. and wife, Gail, of Pasadena, MD and Robert A. Vance and wife, T. Gail, of Prince George, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters, Bernice Mullins of Cumberland, VA, Mary Sue Wallace of Woodbridge, VA, Betty Lue Lowalewski of Myrtle Beach, SC and two brothers, Ralph Cordle of Big Rock, VA and Kenneth L. Cordle of Cumberland County, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, February 20, 2006, from 6 â?? 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Derrick Johnson officiating.
