Allen Martin

Allen Lynwood Martin, 68, of Chester passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Thursday, January 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a native of Ironto, VA born the son of Arno Martin and Madeline Wren. Mr. Martin was a retired superintendent with ICI Americas and a member of the Bermuda Optimist Club. He is survived by his beloved wife Velma Martin; three children Dr. Allen Martin, Kevin Martin and wife Kerry, and Tracy Wilson and husband Steve; five grandchildren Kaitlin, Eleanor, Adam, Hannah and Abigail; sister Karen Hunnings and husband Robert; brother Mark Wren and wife Suzanne; sister Debbie Christensen; brothers Greg and Blake Martin; nieces and nephews and many beloved friends. Visitation will be Friday January 8th from 6 to 8 pm at Chester United Methodist where a funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at 10 am with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
