Alma Lee Elder Messer

Alma Lee Messer, 89, died peacefully on August 6, 2018. She was a lifelong member of Sycamore United Methodist Church and a charter member of Sycamore UMW. Alma Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Everette L. Messer. She is survived by her children, Donald Messer, Dennis Messer, Carol Crawford (David), Barbara Messer and Richard Messer; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Sycamore United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sycamore United Methodist Church, 9710 Old Stage Rd., Prince George, VA 23805 in memory of Mrs. Messer.
