Alma Price

Alma Dunn Price, 90 of Sussex died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of Sussex County and daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Lena Humphries Dunn. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin P. Price, daughter Barbara P. Siena, sister Margaret D. Hogwood and brother Joseph T. Dunn, Jr. She was a retired employee with the Dept. of Social Services for Sussex County. She was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn P. Matthews and husband, Larry; son, William P. Price and wife, Vicky; grandson, Ricky Matthews and wife, Robyn; granddaughter, Cheryl M. Love and husband, Norman; three great-grandchildren, Kaylen, Hunter and Ryan; step-grandson, Alexander Novoa; step-granddaughter, Judy Castro; step-great-granddaughter, Maya; a devoted friend, Florence Dunn; special thanks to her caregivers, Gwen Johnson, Lucille Hall, Barbara Jones and Beth Seymour. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Antioch Baptist Church, Yale, VA. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Tuesday November 4, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
