Alvin Collie

Alvin Stanley Collie (Shugie), born July 24, 1950 went to be with our Lord July 21st. Shugie attended and joined the Bellwood Pentecostal Church as a child. He graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1968. He then joined the United States Air Force where he served honorably for 4 years spending time in England, Scotland, and Ireland, where he learned the game of darts, loved shooting pool, and loved landscaping. He leaves behind 4 sons, Stanley, Jesse, Brooks, Warren, and their mother, Carolyn; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Kathryn Tunstall; brother, Herbert Tunstall (Goobie); sisters, Carol, Vivian, (Jenny); long time dear friends, Barbara Mavis & Tommy Forrest. He was also preceded in death by his birth father, Alvin Brooks Collie; brother, Michael Lee Tunstall; step-father, G. Herbert Tunstall. The family will be receiving friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morris and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. with a Memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. Our Shugie will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
