Amy Holt

Amy Mosley Hawkins Holt of Church Road passed away October 20, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Scott Mosley and Albertha Thomas Mosley Julian and the widow of Albert Lloyd Hawkins and Dr. Mark Edgar Holt, Jr. She was a charter member of Dinwiddie Baptist Church, a member of the Gideonâ??s Auxiliary and was active in Christian work her entire life. She retired as a Physicianâ??s Assistant after a long career in nursing. Amy is survived by three children, Charles Albert Hawkins and his wife Beverly Jones Hawkins of Church Road, Earl Weston Hawkins and his wife Lynda Jones Hawkins, of Mechanicsville, Judith Hawkins Cole and her husband Wayne Morris Cole of Chesterfield, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and her sister Ruth Mosley Thomson of Church Road; step-children Mark E. (Chip) Holt, III, of Deltaville, John Buffett Holt of Hampton, David Powell Holt of Raleigh, NC and Sarah Holt Pierson of Fredericksburg and their families. The family will receive friends Monday, October 22nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. a the funeral home with Reverend Ronald Sowers officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
