SGM (RET) Andrew S. Cordova, 74, of Chester, passed away on Monday, February 1st, 2021. Born in Albuquerque, NM, he was the son of the late Theodore and Irene Cordova. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen J. Cordova; children, Andrew (Angela), Denise, Anthony (Jonye), Robert, and Toni (Roger); 19 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandkids.
In his early years, Andrew Cordova worked as a heavy equipment operator and welder. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army. He served as instructor earning the rank of Sergeant Major while serving at Ft. Bliss, Ft. Lee, Ft. Campbell, and Ft. Shafter, retiring after 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting and fishing. He especially loved golfing with his sons and friends, riding his Harley with his daughter, and working on home improvement projects. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and father, and beloved patriarch of the family.
