Angela Winner

Angela Spriggs Winner, 76, of Cobblestone Drive, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 in Henrico Doctors Hospital, in Richmond. Mrs. Winner was born in Cumberland, MD and had been a long time resident of the Hopewell area. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and retiree Office Manager for Drs. Booker, Schirmer & Blake. Mrs. Winner was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nettie McCoy Spriggs, her husband, John Parker Winner, II, and a daughter, Nancy W. Seymour. She is survived by a daughter, Susanne W. McDonald of Conroe, TX, two sons, John P. “Jack” Winner of Virginia Beach, Joseph P. Winner, Sr. of Hopewell, a niece, Xenia Rae Browning of Ft. Ashby, W. VA., 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters, Sister M. Blanche Spriggs, O.U.S. of Louisville, KY, Kathryn Barnes of Beaverton, OR, and a brother, Joseph Spriggs of Strasburg, VA. A rosary will be said Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 7:00PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30PM. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 26, 2004 at 11:00AM in St. Peters & Paul Catholic Church in Cumberland, MD. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD.
