Angie Lee Royall

Angie Lee Royall, 91, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born in Pittsylvania, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Charlie Barbour and Elsie Layne Barbour. She was also preceded in death by husband, Thomas Russell; late husband, John Royall, Sr.; daughter, Patricia A. Russell Moody; and two brothers, William Lee Barbour and Moncy Edward Barbour. Angie was employed with Titmus Optical retiring after many years of service. She was a long-time member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She was a member of Woodman of the World Chapter 1 in Petersburg. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and tending to her garden. She is survived by her son, Thomas Kent Russell, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Tammy Harrell (Robert), Garland Moody, III. (Shannon), Kenneth Moody, Robert Moody, Chrystal Russell (Scot), Janice Pfister (Rob), and Michael Barnard (Angel); and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 22218 Dabney Mill Rd. Petersburg, VA 23803. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
