Anita Roberson

Mrs. Anita S. Roberson, daughter of the late G. Nelson Soeder and Ruth Treen Soeder, passed away Monday, October 8, 2007 , at John Randolph Medical Center. Anita was the wife of the late W. Douglas Roberson for 51 years. She is survived by three daughters, Carol McCutcheon and husband, Don, of Chesapeake, VA, Nancy Webb and husband, Bruce, of Lexington, KY, and Linda Link and husband, Rick, of Arnold, MD, four grandchildren, Erin and Daniel Webb and Eric and Carl Link. Anita was a 1952 graduate of Vassar, with a BA. in Chemistry, and worked as a Chemist for Hercules, Inc until 1955. She served as president of the School Board and Girl Scout Troop Leader in Harbor Beach, MI. She was a former president of the Jr. Womenâ??s Club of Hopewell. Anita was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, teaching Sunday School and leading bible studies, and an active member of the Village Womenâ??s Club of Chester, VA. She was an avid Bridge and Mah Jongg player. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007, at 10 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell. The family will receive friends at the Cobblestone Association Club House following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1107 West Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T.
