Ann Dennis

Ann Bernice Dennis, 84, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel David Turner and Draxie May Layne Turner; and 5 siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of over 47 years, Curtis H. Dennis; son, Thomas Dale Beckner; son, Steven Wayne Turner and wife, Cynthia; daughter, Katherine Ann Jones and husband, Wayne; son, Darin Scott Bishop; step-daughters, Donna Lynn Barron and Cheryl Renee Lee; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Weeks, Nancy Tingler and husband, Jimmy, and Marlene Leech; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Ann was a longtime member of City Point Restoration Church of God in Hopewell. She worked for Allied Chemical and retired after more than 37 years of service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022 at City Point Restoration Church of God 2300 Bluefield St. Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022. Entombment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
