Ann Hamner

Ann McKenney Hamner, 82, of Richmond formerly of Petersburg died Sunday, February 8, 2009. She was a native of Petersburg born the daughter of the late Robert Armstrong and Katharine Jones McKenney Buchanan. Mrs. Hamner was a member of St. Paulâ??s Episcopal Church in Petersburg and an avid dog lover. She is survived by her children John Hamner and wife Ellen, Susan Daoust and husband Greg and Rob Hamner and wife Clair; ten grandchildren Katharine, Elizabeth, Mary and Rob Hamner, Mark, Sarah, Will and Hallie Daoust, Phil and Jack Hamner; and her devoted dog Paco. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11th at 10 am at Blandford Cemetery with Rev. Rick Greenwood officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Richmond SPCA or St. Paulâ??s Episcopal Church, Petersburg.
