Ann Owen Marek

MAREK, Ann Owen, 83, of Richmond, passed in her sleep on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Marek and Fleetie Clary Marek. She is survived by her two sisters, Bonnie Marek Gwathmey and Peggy Clary Marek; a nephew, Dwight E. Sheffield (Delores), of New Kent, VA; niece, Pamela Sheffield Carraway (Burney), of Greenville, NC; as well as 14 other nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A service will be held at Ocran United Methodist Church, 20221 Cox Road, Sutherland, VA at 2pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Visitation prior to service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220.
