Ann Marie Whipp

Ann Marie Elizabeth Penchick Whipp, 83, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Born in New Kensington, PA, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Dallas Charles Whipp; and her son, Kevin M Whipp and his wife, Kim Whipp. Mrs. Whipp retired from the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Department as an accountant after 32 years of dedicated service. She was a Past Worthy Matron for the Order of the Eastern Star Chester Chapter #121, and was also a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine LOS #105, and The Red Hatters #30453 (The Range). Mrs. Whipp was also a faithful member of Chester Baptist Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Cribb and Rebecca Clements and husband, Brendon; five grandchildren, Daniel M. Cribb, Jr. and wife, Julia, James H. Whipp and wife, April, Makalah C. Gulledge and husband, Steven, Tanner M. Clements, and Dillon Reed Clements; and one great-granddaughter, Maria C. Cribb. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Chester Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryce Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School St., Chester, VA 23831 or to HARP RVA Inc., P.O. Box 121, Chesterfield, VA 23832 on behalf of the Chesterfield County Sheriffs Department in memory of Ann Whipp.
