Anna Lastovica Eavey

Mrs. Anna L. Eavey, 91, of Georgetown, TX went to be with the Lord November 17, 2018 at her home in Georgetown, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and John Lastovica, brother Walter Lastovica, and husband Alfred J. Eavey, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Helen Ponko of Chesterfield, VA, brother John Lastovica of Lake Jackson, TX, son Alfred J. Eavey, Jr. his wife Joan, grandson A. J. Eavey, III of Hopewell, VA, granddaughter Ashley E. Sexton and husband Matt, great-granddaughter Noelle and great-grandson Logan of Colonial Heights, VA, daughter Anna E. Ward and husband Brian, and granddaughter Skylar of Chesterfield, VA, daughter Amy Eavey of Georgetown, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Anna was born July 21, 1927 in Temple, TX, moved with her family from Texas to Pottsville, PA, then finally to Hopewell, VA where she met and married Alfred Eavey. She worked as a lab technician at Hercules before becoming a full-time homemaker. She recently retired to Georgetown, TX where she lived with her daughter Amy. She was a loving wife and mother and friend to many in Hopewell, VA where she was a longtime member of West End Presbyterian Church. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Encompass Hospice care team for their tireless contribution to Anna’s wellbeing and comfort in her final weeks. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie Reed, pastor of West End Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA.
