Anna Mae English, of Prince George, passed away suddenly, Thursday, June 10, 2004. She was a beloved wife, mother and friend. Mrs. English was born in Marlboro County, SC and had been a resident of the area since 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Elizabeth Evans Driggers, and an infant daughter, Brenda. Mrs. English is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert David English of Prince George, two sons, David S. English of Mechanicsville, Robert W. English of Chester, 4 grandchildren, Benjamin English and his wife Joanne of Hopewell, Amanda English of Glen Allen, Elly English and Ethan English, both of Chester, 1 great grandchild, Jacob English of Hopewell, one sister, Eloise D. Crowley of Bennettsville, SC, a dear friend, Elizabeth Smelley, numerous nieces and nephews who were like her children and many other dear family and friends. She touched many lives throughout her life, and will be deeply missed for her kindness, ability to listen and willingness to help others. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 13, 2004 at 2:00PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Kaichen officiating.
