Anna Gail Hankins

Anna Gail Hankins, 74, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Edith Dixon; her husband, R.T. Hankins; and her sisters, Brenda Byrd, Sharon Phillips, Judy Tourney, and Wilma Penna. Anna loved crafting, painting, and arts and crafts of all kinds. She liked to spend time cooking, especially with her grandchildren. She also liked watching Western movies and taking drives with her partner, Jose. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Anna is survived by her children, Dewey Collins (Christy), Melinda Devers (Greg), and Anita Welch (Lee); her partner of 11 years, Jose H. Alvarado; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Carl Dixon (Rusty); a sister, Dana Turner (Bruce); special niece, Gail Klonis DeVine "Sissy"; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Tiffany Edelmon, for her love and care for Anna. Services will be announced at a later date.
