Anna Maitland

Anna Mabel Wells Maitland, 82, of Church Road passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry M. Wells and Louise Barnes Wells Jackson; her husband, Sidney T. Maitland; her brother, Henry C. Wells and her twin sister, Bertha W. Procise. Mrs. Maitland retired from AT&T after 40 years of employment and was a member of the Communication Workers of America and Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, D. Kevin Maitland; a sister, Addie W. Starke and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
