Anna Eva Snyder, 90, was born on October 23, 1933 to the late Willy and Eva Mueller, in Germany. She passed away at her residence on December 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Snyder Jr.; son, Albert Snyder; daughter-in-law, Debbie Snyder; brother-in-law, Albert Kleinbach; and dear friends, Ruby Mayton and Winnie Gilliam.
She is survived by her daughter, Susanna Weaver (Kenneth) of the residence; two sons, Robert Snyder, of Petersburg, and Charles Snyder, of Dinwiddie; sister, Susanna Kleinbach, of Germany; cousin, Lisa Runzi; and family from Germany; five grandchildren, Tracy, Robert, Andrew (Brittney), David and Caitlyn (Kevin); six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Andrew, Summer, Robert, Emily, and Giuliana; and extended family, James Queen (Ruth) and family, Carol Robinson, Edward Weaver (Leah) and family, Sharon Griffin (Roger) and family, Richard Weaver (Kendra) and family, Melissa Weaver and family; and her best friends, Elke Brown, Patty Langlois, Elfie Mack, Linda Brooks, Yvonne Butler and Anita Garrett.
Anna loved spending time with her family and friends as well as gardening, cooking, doing her puzzles, and bird watching.
We would like to thank everyone at Amedisy's Hospice for all of their help at the time of Anna's passing, especially her nurse, Megan, her aide, Shaunte, her doctor, Leelamma George, and her hairdresser for over 30 years, Tammy Clarke.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11am Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the funeral home.
