Anne Perkins Dallmeyer

October 24, 1924 — March 29, 2013

Anne Elizabeth Perkins Dallmeyer, longtime resident of Chester, Virginia was taken home to be with God on March 29, 2013. Born September 24, 1924 to Stanley and Bernice Perkins in Quechee, Vermont, Anne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of the Henry W. Bishop Memorial School of Nursing, Massachusetts and after retiring from nursing used her skills as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. An avid Bridge Player, when she wasn’t playing Bridge she was a volunteer in several different areas including “Meals on Wheels”, Chester Women’s Club, Chester Presbyterian Church and most importantly “Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield” where, just recently, she was honored for over 1140 hours of volunteer work and personally answering over 1660 phone calls from clients of the Shepherd’s Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Dallmeyer, Jr. Survivors include 3 children, John III (Gail), Richard, and Linda (Gerald); 7 grandchildren (Travis, Kristie, Jason, Carl, Mathew, Douglas and Andy) and 6 great grandchildren, (Christina, Jonathan, Katherine, Anthony, Shawn and Callie Elizabeth) A memorial service will be held in Mrs. Dallmeyer’s honor at 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 4 , 2013 at Chester Presbyterian Church, 3424 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, Va. 23831. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Shepherds Center of Chesterfield, your favorite animal charity, or the American Arthritis Foundation.
